The Foundation is adopting processes for supporting collaborative, cooperative efforts that transcend single organizations by bringing together knowledge, experience, and expertise.
Just as all projects and programs have different goals and outcomes, the Foundation has created different applications for each grantmaking program. Please refer to the following program pages for information regarding each program.
The Foundation invests in our most under-resourced neighborhoods, located in 70802, 70805, 70806, 70807, 70811, and 70812. The 2026 Empower grant application process opens January 26th. More information and a detailed timeline can be found here.
The Foundation invests in projects and programs to support our most vulnerable people throughout the 10-parish area. Applications for the Engage portfolio are currently closed. Limited funding will be made available in Fall 2026 for two-year grants spanning 2027-2028. Brief Letters of Intent will open on July 31 with an August 7 due date. Interested applicants are encouraged to review the Engage portfolio guidelines and materials.
The Foundation invests in capacity building efforts to strengthen nonprofits in the 10-parish Greater Baton Rouge area.
- Strategic Mission Grant applications are now closed. The Letter of Intent will open on June 8, 2026, with a June 18 due date.
- Nonprofit Capacity Building Institute applications are now closed. The next application will open on June 18, 2026.
